Terms of Service
Last updated: 22 October 2026
Sankalyx is an online app that puja samitis, trusts and temples ("the samiti") use to record donations, expenses
and receipts. By starting a samiti or using the app you agree to these terms.
Your account and your samiti
-
The person who starts a samiti becomes its Admin and is responsible for who they invite and what is entered.
-
The samiti owns its data. Sankalyx stores and processes it only to run the app for the samiti, and the platform
team may open a samiti's records to help it (support), which the samiti's History shows.
-
Use the app only for lawful collections. Receipts are the samiti's own; tax claims (80G) are the samiti's duty.
Trial, plans and payment
-
A new samiti gets a free trial. Plans, prices and limits are shown on the website and may change; a change
applies from the samiti's next period.
- Payment is in advance, monthly or yearly, by UPI from inside the app (or another method we offer later).
-
If a period is not renewed, the samiti gets 7 days of grace and is then read-only: everything can still be seen
and exported, but no new entries can be added until it is renewed.
- Fees already paid are not refunded, except where the law requires it.
Service
We work to keep the app available and the data safe, with regular backups, but the app is provided as is. We are
not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to the fees the samiti paid in the last 12
months. WhatsApp, Telegram, Google and payment apps are third-party services with their own terms.
Ending
A samiti may stop at any time and ask for an export of its data. We may suspend a samiti that misuses the app or
breaks the law. After a samiti ends, its data is deleted on request, except records the law requires us to keep.
